A pilot project was run to teach local women to make felt from Sinai wool. A volunteer taught one woman to make felt, and a programme was then run in four villages (Abu Seila, el Marw, Sheikh 'Awaad and Wadi Esbai'a). By the end 21 women had learned, which can be used to produce many products including clothing and bags for their families. We hope to extend the project in future. The grant paid for the ladies' time, meeting costs, project leader & materials.
